2008 Vouvray Sec, Silex, Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau, Loire

There is an incredible complexity to this Chenin. The nose shows an enticing combination of quince, almond, pineapple and buttery richness. On the palate, although dry, there is a lovely balance of sweet fruit flavour. The length of the finish is very impressive with classic spicy baked apple flavours coming through. A white wine for meatier dishes. Try with pork medallions in a creamy mustard sauce.
