Wine Shop & Cellars

Our retail premises at Gosbecks Park, Colchester is arguably the greatest wine shop in the country. Customers are more than welcome to visit and browse our portfolio of over 1000 wines which are on display and available to buy by the bottle. In addition our knowledgeable, friendly and highly trained staff are on hand to provide expert advice on every day wines as well as many of the greatest wines of the World. We firmly believe in trying before you buy and there is always a large selection of wines open and ready for you to taste. Wines are not our only speciality, we also have a wide range of whiskies, spirits, beers, soft drinks, wine accessories and Riedel glassware available.

Regular promotions are run throughout the store and there is usually a selection of Bin End wines available at considerable discounts. To add some variety to the The Colchester Wine Company experience we have begun a program of Local Producer’s Markets on a number of Saturdays, with many of East Anglia’s most prestigious food producers exhibiting within our impressive Tasting Cellar. The dates of forthcoming Markets will be advertised on this website.

Our retail shop is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday 9am - 6pm, Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays except Sundays during December in the lead up to Christmas.

Hospitality and Events

The Colchester Wine Company also holds an exciting programme of educational and fun weekly wine tastings and dinners. The events programme is published quarterly and features on this website.

Our venue is perfect for hospitality events. Both corporate and private customers can entertain their own clients or friends. Be it a relaxed and enjoyable, yet informative wine-tasting session to a bespoke lunch or dinner, with paired wines, selected for you by our experienced sales team.
