Home delivery

Home delivery is a specialty, bringing our best finds to your door quickly and efficiently. Hopefully you will find this site easy to navigate and a vital tool for buying wines for home delivery. Our wine advisors are available to speak with on the telephone 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday should you require advice, and you can purchase wines from us with confidence, as we will refund every penny should you not be totally satisfied.

Our Colchester Shop

Our shop in Gosbecks Road is a wine lovers paradise – visitors can browse our portfolio of over 1000 wines which are on display and available to buy by the bottle. In addition, our knowledgeable, friendly and highly trained staff are on hand to provide expert advice on every day wines as well as many of the greatest wines of the world. We firmly believe in trying before you buy and there is always a large selection of wines open and ready for you to taste.

Monday-Saturday, 9am-6pm
Sunday, 10am-4pm in December only
Closed all other Sundays and bank holidays
 

Getting married or having a party?

Getting married? With our highly experienced team always on hand able to offer advice and guidance The Wine Company should be your first call for all your wedding wine requirements.

As part of our wedding service we will arrange a private consultation and tasting at our Colchester store for the wedding couple and up to four guests.

We offer sale or return on unopened bottles of wine, a huge array of glassware and accessories to hire, and a free local delivery service. With over 1000 wines to choose from and years of experience supplying weddings and events The Wine Company will ensure that the wines you chose are perfectly tailored to your day.
 

Corporate gifts and services

Looking for something to show your appreciation to a customer or to impress a new client? The Wine Company have a range of corporate gifts which are sure to leave a lasting impression. A single bottle delivered by our next day couriers, a case of Wine or Champagne with a personalised message, fine and rare wine in a beautiful presentation box, we have the perfect gift for any occasion.

Perhaps you are looking to regularly despatch gifts and want a bespoke gift programme, having wines delivered in customised packaging and the inclusion of point of sale material with the gift. Wine tastings and events

Quality and value are paramount, and our programme of wine tastings and dinners showcases our huge range of wines, from good value drinking wines to fine wines and rare bottles. Mostly held in either our tasting cellar or library in our Gosbecks Road premises, our events are suitable for every level of wine knowledge, from novices, to those with more expertise and experience. Most events are accompanied by either a delicious luncheon, dinner or canapés using only the very best of local produce – so expect vibrant, fresh flavours with contemporary presentation, carefully prepared by our in-house team of chefs, lead by Craig Formoy our renowned executive chef.
